Board of Directors

  • Ion StoicaIon StoicaProfessor, UC Berkeley; Co-Founder, Databricks & AnyscaleIon Stoica is a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at UC Berkeley, where he holds the Xu Bao Chancellor Chair and directs the Sky Computing Lab. He is co-founder and executive chairman of Databricks (which commercialized Apache Spark) and co-founder of Anyscale (built on the open-source Ray framework), and earlier co-founded Conviva. His research groups have produced widely used open-source projects including Spark, Ray, vLLM, and Chatbot Arena.
  • Dawn SongDawn SongProfessor, UC Berkeley; VP AI Research, MetaDawn Song is a professor of computer science at UC Berkeley and Vice President of AI Research at Meta. Her work spans AI safety and security, agentic AI, and decentralized intelligence. She is a MacArthur Fellow, an ACM and IEEE Fellow, and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and has co-founded companies including Oasis Labs and Virtue AI.
  • Heather MeekerHeather MeekerAttorney, Tech Law PartnersHeather Meeker is an attorney and partner at Tech Law Partners and one of the world's leading authorities on open source software licensing, advising companies and investors for more than 20 years. She is the primary drafter of licenses including the Elastic License 2.0 and contributed to the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and the PolyForm licenses, and is the author of "Open (Source) for Business." She has taught technology licensing at UC Berkeley School of Law and UC Law San Francisco.
  • Matt WhiteMatt WhiteExecutive Director, Open Intelligence FoundationMatt White is Executive Director of the Open Intelligence Foundation. He was previously Global CTO of AI at the Linux Foundation and Executive Director — later CTO — of the PyTorch Foundation. He was the first author of the Model Openness Framework and the architect of OpenMDW, the first permissive open model license. A repeat foundation founder and startup founder with several exits, he has led IBM's data science practice and taught deep learning. He co-leads a research group at Columbia University on Financial Intelligence, is co-developing a Stanford course on Sovereign Intelligence, and is a leading advocate for open source AI, having spoken at more than 300 events.

He is Head of North American Sales at SnapCall and a change-oriented sales leader with a proven track record of growing businesses, building sales teams, and entering new markets across multiple industries — spanning both multi-channel distribution and direct-sales models. He brings international experience across Europe and Asia, strong C-level relationship skills, and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business.
